Oh few days later got bored again LOOL and decided to go Coco's ordered the strawberry salad and the grilled hammour that comes wrapped in banana leaf Soma I think .... really nice my sis in law keeps talking about it I thought I should give it a try ... while we were there we popped in Al Rawaq gallery here are some snaps

Considering the depressive and sad news we were unable to go out for security and safety reasons ... we I couldn't stand the boredom so we decided to go out LOL anyways we went to Waitrose in Amwaj and I loved it .. very clean and refreshing!

So what were your plans for Valentine's? We secretly planned ours by having it a day ahead! We told our hubbies that it's about time we all went out together as couples so we just told them to dress up and that we will all go in one car with the driver to avoid traffic and parking space so we drove a bit and asked our sister to pretend that she is getting sick and the driver had to go back home so instead he takes us to the front gate where we prepared dinner for them as per our sis in law Restaurant de la amour for starters we had spicy labna dipping and chinese noodle salad main was steak with mushroom sauce and a side of mashed potatoes and a heart shaped vegetarian pizza (which came out very odd looking) dessert was ice cream cake with fruits and fondue with melted white and milk chocolate!

Perhaps not the most revolutionary of trends, but yet again it looks like floral prints are set to be a BIG again this summer.

Featured heavily on the catwalks of Alberta Feretti, Erdem, D & G, Giles, Jonathan Saunders and Etro, the prints, much like actual flowers, have certainly come in many different shapes, sizes and colours.

We have even seen the floral prints being fused with military inspired shapes and patterns, yes, make way for floral/camo print hybrid!

Sounds revolting I hear you say? Well, actually it kinda works. But then, I am anti all things understated and low key. No REALLY!

The floral influence is also a key element within another big trend this season, that being the 60’s hippy chic trend that is once again coming around on the ever-revolving wheel of fashion.

Personally my favourite take on prints this season was by London designer Erdem www.erdem.co.uk

On the catwalk, his models looked like they had just stepped out of a 1930’s garden party. One almost expected the models to shimmy off the catwalk and settle down under a cluster of lacy parasols and to start sipping on Pimms and nibbling on cucumber sandwiches (crusts off of course!)

Another one my favourite up and coming designers of the moment is London designer, Hermione de Paula www.hermionedepaula.com who is also a huge floral print advocate. Her delicate hand drawn floral designs are so detailed that you can end up getting quite mesmerised and realise you’ve been staring at the same piece for over 5 mines!

We don’t care that this is perhaps a more tried and tested trend, florals represent all that we have been waiting for over these cold long months …and that is THE SUMMER!!

I can’t wait to get “flowered up” and may I just say, the high street has some great options, if the “designer flower” is a little too thorny for your pocket!! Check out Top Shop website www.topshop.com for some great price conscious options.

So don’t be a wall flower this season…be a SUN FLOWER instead ;-)
