The Spanish artist, Mercedes Gonzalez de Garay, will be
introducing her mixed media project 'Gypsy Time', which
introduces her street art- to-canvas style. Working with
stencil, spray, acrylics, painting, drawing and collage,
Mercedes will demonstrate technique and concept. 'Gypsy Time'
creates a discourse about the direction of our society and how
artists can comment upon and invoke social change. On canvas,
tradition and modernity are mixed, creating an image collage,
in which objects and out of context poses, generate an ironic
point of view. 'Gypsy Time' is funny and bittersweet at the
same time. The workshop will be open to everyone.
